I'm a newbie. I've never created a website but want to learn (and expect to use mysql/php). So, I purchased the new mac mini server. In your introduction, you mentioned that one wouldn't need to buy OS X Server. Does your installation instructions conflict with the Server Admin Tools under the OS? In other words, would your instructions for "installing-everything-on-snow-leopard" complement OS X Server or limit it's functionality in some way?
Thanks you, Adam
I would not know in how far the server setup conflicts with my setup as I haven't got access to the server version of OS X. I install apache in a different location therefore it won't work with the admin tools.

The only thing I could tell you is how to upgrade php on the server: http://diymacserver.com/2009/11/26/upgrading-php-with-gd-on-os-x-server-10-6/
