Okay got it I think....God I am stupid.
I was so lazy I was trying to run it from the uncompressed folder with that huge name above. I was using forklift to open the terminal cause I am lazy.
So took the source out the uncompressed folder with the huge name and put it on my desktop (I used stuffit to uncompress I am lazy). Then renamed the source folder with the source in it to just httpd, stripping off the version numbers. And ran configure - all worked.
Moral of the story don't be lazy do it all in terminal, and don't forget the shell is not OSX. :p
