Really, for a long time I'm trying to create an ISP configuration on my Internet box (actually a Cube G4/450Mhz/396Mb/Panther). And I have been stopped by the virtual mailboxes 'module'. I tried Sendmail, Postfix, Courier, Squirrel, and on some point I can't get compiled the daemos or I'm so dummy for configurate them. Sometimes I can make things work on my desktop mac (dual ppc G5/Tiger) but had no success on Panther.

I'm trying now XMail with Umpl_XMail webmail interface (it allow you to admin the virtual domains/mailboxes, and doesn't need any local unix mailbox/maildir to work, and it have smtp/pop3 fully integrated), I had installed and configurated it ok on a Linux Morphix box (over VirtualPC). And now I had compiled it right on OS X. I'm on the installation phase, that have to be done manually on OS X. When I get positive results, sure I will share the how-to.

I recommend give a try to XMail.
